Snow/Ice storm in Cleveland

Last week we had an unexpected snow and ice storm, which left thousands without power (us included). Luckily, the power came back on the next day, and thanks to our great backyard neighbors we had heating, but it was still an adventure, specially considering that power came back one minute before the beginning of Shabbat, leaving us to improvise some Shabbat meals with no oven or electric hotplate. Kids had fun anyway, and candles added some atmosphere to the rooms, and the fragrances all mixed up made me a bit dizzy, but over all i think we can be grateful that we can still manage with no power and a blizzard outside!
