52Frames Week 6: Love Story
This week's photo challenge was to shoot a love story, of any kind...i skipped the idea of doing a Cinderella version in front of my fireplace, and decided to go for a less famous love story, but more dear to me: immigrants and their loved ones.
We moved to America about four years ago from Italy, and even though it was not nearly as challenging as for the thousand of immigrants that leave their countries daily to dive into an uncertain future in a new land, i can definitely sympathize.
So here is my submission:
"On the way"
This picture is dedicated to all the immigrants that follow their dream of a new life in a new country and very often have to part temporarily from the love of their life.
It's dedicated to the mothers and wives that often stay in the native land and raise the kids and wait for that day when they get a letter, a ticket, a picture, and then pack the few belongings and leave, on the way to being happy again together.
