Hamantaschen Recipe

Purim is coming!
Here is the most popular way of making Hamantaschen...i will IYH post the way Italian Jews make Hamantaschen next time!

Ashkenazi Hamantaschen

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup oil
3 eggs
1/2 cup fruit juice
4 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

For the filling:
1 jar preserves or any other filling of your choice

Preheat oven to 350F/180C.
Mix together eggs, oil and sugar until creamy.
Add the rest of the ingredients, and mix until smooth.
The dough might be a bit sticky, but don't add flour now.
Take a portion of the dough, and roll it over a well floured surface until is about 1/2 inch thick.
With a round cookie cutter, cut the dough and put half a spoon of filling in the center of each circle.
Join two sides of the circle by pinching them together, then seal the third on doing the same thing...you should get a triangle shape with the filling enclosed and showing a bit on the center.
Bake until golden.
