Updates from a computerless girl :)
We arrived in New Jersey a week ago, and i have been taking a lot of pictures that i cannot share here because...my computer does not work :( it does turn on, but it gets stuck loading Windows, so i haven't been able to bring it to NJ and use it to download pictures from my camera or post here...hope we will be able to fix it once we go beck to Cleveland!
Meanwhile, i am using Alec's laptop, mainly to check Facebook or the sales on Ebay.
So what has been happening?
The car trip from Ohio to New Jersey was long but glorious thanks to Alec's idea to take an alternative road through the little Americana towns :) lots of all those stereotypes that you would expect to see in an "American style" movie, but also some pearls, like our dinner pic nic by a river, at sundown, near a hippy style development of houses by the water...stunning.
Lots of horses, cows, barns...i love feeling the spirit of the land :)
Last Thursday we went to Point pleasant to see the fireworks on the beach, and the kids got to go on some rides, definitely a nice evening.
Kids went to the ocean on Friday, then on Shabbat Alec's parents lawn became a sports field with volley ball, hula hoops and acrobatics :)
Today we went to Brooklyn by car, and ate by Basil with our Italian friends :) we had a great time! It was great to be able to meet after two years!
We went to a delicious Ice Cream place, Sweet Expressions, and there i had a huge ice cream, my lunch since i am a picky Italian eater and had a hard time adjusting to the restaurant's menu, and the kids were thrilled to have good ice cream together!
We walked around Crown Heights, went into Judaica stores, went to 770 and got to get inside the Yichud Room that we used almost 9 years ago :) it was pretty emotional, going into there with our kids :) B"H
Oh, and today was our Lechayim anniversary!!!! So double romantic <3
Next event coming (after Alec's brother arriving in America with his family): Yosef Nino's Upshernish!!!! I am so excited! On Monday, Labor Day!
